On March 16, 2025 His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim AL-THANI Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received His Excellency Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and his accompanying delegation.

On March 3, 2025 His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, received a phone call from His Excellency Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan. During the call, both sides exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and discussed key issues of cooperation between the two countries, as well as ways to develop and enhance it.

The Embassy of Qatar in Turkmenistan celebrated the National Day of Qatar, which is observed on December 18 each year. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mr. Kerimberdi Kurbanov, the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials, Heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, businessmen, and media.

On 11 December 2024, on the sidelines of the events held on the occasion of International Neutrality Day and the 29th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Rashid AL-ATHBA, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ashgabat. During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of developing were discussed.

During the period from 09-10 December 2024, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Ashgabat participated in the sporting events organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in the Institute of International Relations on the occasion of the Neutrality Day of Turkmenistan. Mr. Nasser Ali AL-KAABI, 2nd Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Ashgabat, ​​won first place in the Table Tennis Tournament. Mr. Ahmet Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan honored the winners of the tournament.

On 10 December 2024, at the Headquarters of the Embassy, His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Rashid AL-ATHBA, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan, received His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, who participated in the events held on the occasion of International Neutrality Day and the 29th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

On 10 December 2024, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Mr. Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, Minister of the Education of Turkmenistan held meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Rashid AL-ATHBA, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ashgabat.

Today we celebrate the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and Turkmenistan. This significant event took place on 22 November 1996 and became a beginning of official contacts between our friendly countries, while relations and interactions of our friendly peoples were maintained during many centuries and became the part of the common ancient history. For the past 28 years we witnessed development of bilateral relations between our countries in all directions. As a first step – the Ambassadors were accredited and in 2011, the Intergovernmental joint Qatari-Turkmen Commission was created for economic and trade cooperation, the II session of which was held in 2016 in Doha.

On 11 November 2024, at the Headquarters of Embassy, Mr. Ghanem bin Abdullah AL-REMAIHI, Acting Chargé d'Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Ashgabat, met with Mr. Vitaliy Zasepin, Head of International Cooperation Department of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and Mr. Aman Gapbarov, Representative of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Turkmenistan. Issues of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of developing were discussed during the meeting. ​
