On 20 May 2024, at the Headquarters of the Agency “Turkmenhowayollary”, Mr. Ghanem bin Abdullah AL-REMAIHI, Acting Chargé d'Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Turkmenistan, met with His Excellency, Mr. Dovran Saburov, Chairman of the Agency “Turkmenhowayollary”. Issues of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of developing were discussed during the meeting.

His Excellency Minister of Culture of the State of Qatar Sheikh Abdurahman bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani participated in the International Conference of Ministers of Culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, held in Ashgabat during the period May 17-18, 2024.

I would like to begin by expressing my profound joy and proud to have the honor of representing my country, the State of Qatar, in Turkmenistan, as our countries are bound by strong friendly relations. As a result of the concerted efforts being made by our leaders to enhance these ties comprehensively, significant advancements have been witnessed in recent times. This includes the inauguration of the State of Qatar's Embassy in Ashgabat in 2014, and reciprocally, the opening of Turkmenistan's embassy in Doha in 2023.

Following schoolchildren from the State of Qatar participated in this Olympiad: Hasan Aref Ebrahim, Shaikha Mohammed AL-EMADI, Ali Hamad AL-HAMADI, Fajer Khalid AL-MUHANNADI, Mohammed Abdulla AL-OBAIDLI, Mohammed Ghaith AL-KUWAIRI, Haya Jaithen Al Abdulla.

​ On September 1, 2023, the Secretary General of the Equestrian Federation of the State of Qatar, HE Sheikh Ahmad Bin Nooh AL THANI, met with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the possibilities for effective cooperation between the two countries in the field of training personnel of equestrian sports and horse breeding.
