On March 26, 2024, Turkmen newspaper “Neytralnyy Turkmenistan” published an article authored by His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Rashid AL-ATHBA, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan, which reads as follows

I would like to begin by expressing my profound joy and proud to have the honor of representing my country, the State of Qatar, in Turkmenistan, as our countries are bound by strong friendly relations. As a result of the concerted efforts being made by our leaders to enhance these ties comprehensively, significant advancements have been witnessed in recent times. This includes the inauguration of the State of Qatar's Embassy in Ashgabat in 2014, and reciprocally, the opening of Turkmenistan's embassy in Doha in 2023.
